Father Jamie Cubine completed his twenty-fifth year in the ordained ministry
this summer. He has served churches primarily in the Diocese of West Tennessee.
In the past, he helped several Bishops develop the Diocese of West Tennessee.
His contributions include two terms on Bishop and Council, Chairman of the Long
Range Planning Committee, Chairman of the Committee to elect the second Bishop
of West Tennessee and two terms as Deputy to the conventions of the national
church.
He holds a BA, MA and M.Div. degrees. He is a graduate of the clergy Leadership
Project and the Oxford School of Religious studies, summer program, Oxford
England.
His non-professional activities include serving as adjunct professor of the
University College, University of Memphis. He primarily teaches a course
entitled: Faith, Reason and Imagination, the Journey of the Western Mind.
His wife, Carroll, and Jamie have been married for thirty-three years. He has
two older daughters who no longer live with them, but left them with three dogs
and a cat.

Fred Bickel started learning piano at the age of four and began playing
organ in churches and directing church choirs in 1957 while still in high
school in Detroit. He studied with Gordon Young, organist of First
Presbyterian Church, Detroit, from 1958 to 1960. In 1978, he passed the
colleague examination of the American Guild of Organists and was awarded
the Certificate of Colleague (CAGO). During the 1980’s he played piano for
cabaret, dinner theater, and musical revues with Stage Right Productions
in Detroit.
He and his wife, Anne, moved to Memphis in 2001. He has been both organist
of Ravenscroft Episcopal Chapel in Tipton County and organist/choir master
of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church since January, 2004.
In Detroit he was active as a CPA and presently owns a small accounting
practice in Midtown Memphis.
